THE COMFORT ZONE

THE COMFORT ZONE

This morning, after a cup of steaming tea, I was homing with my usual morning TV routine on RPN 9 and heard Rev. Benny Hinn spoke about the thing called “COMFORT ZONE”. It’s like love; the zone is very much talked about these days, especially in the spiritual circles.

If my memory serves me well, I also went through an hour of talk from Rev. Joyce Meyer about the thing called “COMFORT ZONE” some months ago. By the way, both Rev. Hinn and Ms. Meyer are two among many of my favorite TV evangelist; you could check them out if their programs are available in your local area.

All in all, the talk about comfort zones are centered primarily on the need for us to have the courage to get out of our usual routines, and do the things that are called upon us. It had seem that many amongst us are just contented to live the protected lives each of us lead and not go out there to seek the hands of fellowship among men and women, and propagate charity and amity in the community and lastly, to help spread the good news according to the Gospels. I believe that it is the duty of every Christian fellow to share the enlightenment of the “written word”.

We must be brave at times to take the boldest step and find our true character and callings. When we hide and become constrained in our own walls, in our comfort zones, afraid to venture and go out to the world and seek the truth, we may become trapped in our own narrowed views and finally fall into desperation and worse into a life of falsities.

We must take steps towards the reawakening of our spiritual life and become meaningful to the lives of others. We must pray to the Lord always and give to those who have nothing and heal the sick and by doing these things; we heal our own yearning souls.

VERSE OF THE DAY - Matt 22:36-40 Master, which is the great commandment in the law? Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.  On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. (From the New King James Version)

The ceremony on Ash Wednesday is a symbol of our faith to the Lord, and it may not be biblical in source but anything that glorifies the Lord is never a bad thing. I believe that putting ash on your forehead is a affirmationh of faith but one may not have to if he or she doesnt feel like it.

Faith is more meaningful if it is practiced and comes from the heart although ceremonies and procedures helps augments this faith.

I am a Christian who is not purely Catholic but i may even plan to put ash on my forehead just to symphatized with our fellow faithful who are catholic. I believe in understanding and unity of all men.
